Job Title: Marketing Assistant
Department: Marketing
Reports to: Marketing & Media Relations Manager
Location: Van Nuys, California

Purpose of the Position:  Full-time position with primary responsibility of completing administrative marketing duties and marketing projects under the direction of the Marketing & Media Relations Manager. The position requires thorough working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, strong individual initiative, outstanding attention to detail, and the ability to work with and coordinate among various team members.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Vice President, Marketing and Distribution and the Marketing Manager in day-to-day administrative duties
  • Assist with the design and development of all marketing and sales collateral, templates and presentations
  • Support daily social media management, content development, and campaign effectiveness
  • Assist with webinar, tradeshow and event planning
  • Assist with corporate website maintenance
  • Assist with updating marketing mailing lists and CRM database (SalesForce)
  • Create and deliver email blasts, surveys, and mailers
  • Assist with distributor and sales support as needed
  • Assist with lead mining and database maintenance and creation
  • Assist with distribution and organization of promotional and corporate collateral inventory/orders
  • Screen and distribute sales calls, emails and leads as needed
  • Initiate and maintain relationships with design and production vendors
  • Work as part of Marketing team to brand and enhance Capstone’s image
  • Perform other related duties as assigned 

Skills and Abilities:

  • Self-starter with ability to manage multiple projects at once
  • Extremely detail oriented and creative
  • Clear communicator with excellent oral and written skills
  • Enthusiastic, optimistic, focused, and motivated
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal and analytical skills
  • Must possess thorough working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Acrobat, Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop)
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • SalesForce a huge plus!

Education and Experience:

  • B.A. in Marketing, Graphic Design, Web Design or Advertising at an accredited university
  • Enthusiastic, optimistic, focused, and motivated
  • Detail oriented, self-starter and creative
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, analytical and communication skills
  • Thorough working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint, Adobe Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop. HTML 5, web design, and SalesForce.com a huge plus!
